Dogs definitely dream. Cody wakes himself up all the time with all the racket he makes. He has even started howling in his dreams. He wakes up looking so confused. So funny. Aniah growls like crazy in her dreams. She gets the hiccups all the time as well. I think this is just baby stuff. My son hiccuped tons while he was in me and for months after he was born.

I think Niko's dreams are definitely as wild as my own- he is very active in his sleep. My husky-coonhound mix also gets twitchy, and howls very loudly in her sleep. Scared the bejeebies out of me the first time.

My pups too twitch, grawl, and whine in their sleep. I'm sure it's them dreaming as they are in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep like everyone else goes into. I too wonder what they dream about, but I think it's their fur-moms. They suck in their sleep :o)

The kiccups are a several time a day occurance here. One of my pups even woke herself up from her nap the other day with the hiccups. It was too funny.

Fur or non fur we're all the same. We all dream and get hiccups when we're babies and even as adults.
