Niaya, who was adopted when she was one year old is gentle with family and close friends. She has behaved well at dog parks in the past although I haven't taken her to one in a while.
Last weekend I took her to the VET for her booster shots and she barked very aggressively at all inside the office area. (I was embarrassed) as she acted like she had NO training at all.
I am careful in disciplining her as I believe she was abused and or not loved prior to being adopted.
What methods can be used to make her well behaved around strange dogs
and have her take guidance from me as to how to behave.
I don't really think she would attack but who wants to take a chance?
She is 4 years old and lives my other boxer boy Blade.
NOTE: she has also acted this way once when a young child visited my home.
