My Sarge whines alot also. He whines sometimes to get attention but most of the time he just wants me to sit down with him. He doesn't want to be touched of olved he just wants to sleep and wants me to sit down so he can. He follows us everywhere. I usually ignore it and he finally gives in and goes and lays down by himself.

Completely Boxer Crazy
My boy whines and my girl talks. It is how they communicate their wants like to go outside or eat dinner if it is getting near dinner time. When it is unreasonable we ignore it when it is reasonable they get it. Our kids have to sit and wait for leashes to go out and they have to "line up" and stay in place for dinner until they are given the "take it" command. We do not mind their vocalness either. It is part of their personalities.

My Damon whines and it sometimes seems that its his only form of communication because he only barks when i tell him to speak or he gets really really excited. But he's my big baby so i normally placate him.

ABBY used to be a big whiner when she was smaller. Now she only whines when she gets really excited or wants to go outside.

My little (not really lil) Zoey whines too, esp when she is put outside in the garden in the morning so that the floor can be swept and mopped. She'll whine and whine coz she wants to come in. but usually i wait til she stops before letting her in. i noticed though when i ask her to be quiet... it grows louder the whining :) cheeky lil one. she whines too when she wants to go out to pee, when she's in her room and everyone else is outside and ignoring her. or just frustrated/bored with one of her toys.
