Does your house smell?

I think Buster smells like basmati rice--so one of his nicknames is Bustermati. But ditto on vacuuming, laundering the linens etc.

In any case, it's just dog smell. People smell too.

I love the way Lou smells... except his farts of course... but his ears and feet smell so good, almost like puppy breath, only not quite. My house doesn't stink from my dog... but my roommate on the other hand... yuck. He's the stinkiest man alive.. it's like something crawled up and died in him... eeeow. Stinky man... nice smelling dog. Go figure.

So I guess the more humidity the more you can smell the doggie??? I guess I'm fresh outta luck because where we live the humidity is maybe 90% on most days GO FIGURE :rolleyes:
Okay......so anybody with any ideas about high humidity areas???

Well we have humid times of the year and we can smell all odors a little more. Air conditioning seems to help alot. I have three dogs, three cats and three birds. I think I do a fairly good job of keeping the odors out, sometimes the cat boxes get bad but I usually change them when we smell them. I use glade plug ins, candles and I like the renuzuit fabric freshner better than febreeze. I will get Febreeze if there is nothing else but I prefer the other one. I have had friends be truly surprised at how many animals I have and they do think my house is clean..

I am such a nut, I have always noticed Asia's face and feet smelling a certain why but I never could 'label' it, so when I read this thread, I went over and smelled her (I know, sounds gross, but whatever :rolleyes: ) and she DOES smell like Frito's!

I don't think our apartment stinks ... it might smell like Windex because I Windex EVERYTHING (I am a Windex-o-holic), but I guess that isn't so bad!

I've never had complaints about the dogs, only the cats. They are stinky little beasts! I clean the litter box several times per day, and they always seem to go again the second that I'm done.

I soooo agree!!!! I have a cat and a new kitten. I can't believe how much more I have to clean the litter box just from ONE kitten! They stink much more than my dogs do! And my rabbit! Phew! When the weather is nice during the day, he and his cage get moved to the deck so I can breath some fresh air! Boy, sounds like I have a stinky house, huh? It's not bad, but only b/c I am a stay at home mom and clean CONSTANTLY!

I could never comment to someone about their house smelling like dog or anything.

I sweep daily and mope once ot twice a week depending on what the floor is like. Both Boxers and the Dane are in the house as often as they want to be. One Boxer and the Dane are loose in the house while I am at work. I also have 7 year old sons, who of course are trying to be "independant". Ohhhhh my!

I'm not sure if my house smells or not, I don't think it does. I allow my dogs on the couch, if someone comes over and doesn't like it too bad. My dogs are part of this family. If my dogs are on the couch then you sit on the floor...just kiddin!

My dogs do not smell, but if my DD forgets to clean her guinea pig for a day or two, that i can smell!

My dogs don't generally stink except for their faces. I have to get anti-fungal wipes from the vet as the skin folds retain moisture and it gets to stinking really bad. I describe it as a sour milk smell! It is really gross. I guess their creases are pretty deep. These are the only 2 Boxers that I have had that stink. As for the feet, I too had to go and give them the sniff test and yes, it does smell like Fritos! What is that all about??? The house will get doggy in the summer when the humidity rises.

Something to ponder...Is it the dogs feet that smell like Frito's or the Frito's that smell like dogs feet? LOL
