Does your boxer wipe their face.....

...on the COUCH or bed after eating? After Zach eats his dinner he glides his body along the couch wiping the food from his lips on my couch. After that I can always count on him to jump on my bed and burying his face under the covers - sometimes the only thing sticking out is his little wagging nub.
When I babysat my friend's 2 boxers they did the same thing. Yeah, a whole lot of boxer slop but it was the best sleep over party I've been to in a long time.

Oh Yean! Buddy would do the same thing and has done if he can get away with it. We started keeping industrial paper towels beside his eating area, and wipe his face immediately after he eats or drinks. Now if we are around he will come and quickly let us know he is finished but if we don't get him wiped up right away, then the furniture, or his favorite, someone's coat,will get it. I am so used to walking around with Buddy slobber on me somewhere and I don't seem to give it a second thought. Gotta love them!!

What we need to do is scour the world to see if we can find *ONE* Boxer who does *not* do that!
Actually, since I started home cooking for Mack, he hardly ever does it any more. I wonder if there was something in the commercial food that made his muzzle itchy?

Indy does it more than Beauty. He especially likes whatever clothing you have on - silk, cotton, etc.! After he finishes with clothes, he goes to the couch. I haven't actually noticed Beauty wiping her mouth on anything, however, she gets food caught in her jaws and leaves a little trail of kibble everywhere she walks...so either way, I'm cleaning up after the babies!!!

Oh, yeah, Maggie does this, too. And I haven't noticed it getting better since I started cooking for her.
I'm really hoping she won't do this when I start her on BARF.......can you imagine raw chicken or beef smeared on the furniture?
We're constantly wiping her eyes so might as well start wiping the mouth, too!

Roxy drives me crazy with this. We just got new living room furniture and I spent the first week yelling "no Roxy" then I gave up.

Sam used to wipe her mouth all over me too, but lately she's also been going into the bedroom & burying herself under the blankets with her wiggling butt up in the air. She has a ball--snorting, wiggling, wagging & wiping. I wonder what that's all about?? Oh well, my clothes look cleaner, but I wonder what some guy would think of all those crusty, gooky things all over the sheets & blankets (IF some guy was ever to get into my bed again--hehe)
