When your dog gets annoyed at you does he/she sigh at you? I think it is too funny. When we first got Max we were in the car and my husband was singing and Max was trying to sleep on my lap. He didn't like the singing. It was disturbing him. He gave my husband the dirtiest look then sighed and turned over the other direction. He still to this day does the sighing thing if hes annoyed.

LOL! My Greta does the same thing to us! If you take too long to get her food, tell her to go lie down or if the kittens are bothering her, all get a "Sigh" it is so funny! She just gave me one a few minutes ago, the kittens have a piece of her dry dog food and are playing by her dish, she wants them to move so she looked at me and siiiigh.... :D

Absolutely! Any time I correct my two or make them lay down, they sigh! I feel so guilty - like I'm being a bad mother....

Most definatly! With those looks of Sarcasum I swear they are human sometimes!
Mine will talk too, drop that head and just start making this almost growling sound, :D: especially after I have been at work or if I spend to much time on the computer, I just laugh and say OK I am almost thru...

I was going to post this same questions a few weeks ago. Daizzy does this all the time when she doesn't get her way or if Lily (Boston Terrier)is bothering her.

Britany has this sigh thing down to a science. She lets out a big sigh and just drops to floor, couch, bed where ever she decides to and then stares at us. She is makes us feels so bad. Yesterday was the first time she had been crated for over 4 hours for quite some time. She went in with no hestitation and then sighed and dropped. What a whiner. Then when I got home she followed me everywhere and even got under my desk and looked up at me and sighed as laid down on my feet. There was no escaping her last night. LOL.

Our boxer sighs all the time too. But the funniest thing happened the other day. We put him in his crate and he sighed and lied down. Except that when he sighed, he farted at the same time. We were laughing over that for a while. :D

LOL Oh yes, they do sigh don't they!!

Gilroy does the huge ones, Purdy's are more subtle. If Gilroy misbehaves and I have a "talk" with him. He'll sit bolt upright with those huge eyes, scarcely breathing. The moment I stop the lecture and assure him I love him, he takes in a giant shuddering breath followed by a huge sigh. It gets me laughing almost every time.

Also when they're disappointed because they've brought me their leashes and I've just replaced them on the hook, they sigh in unison and do the pitiful drop and pout routine. Even if we've just walked!!!

They're so fun...
