everytime my buddies come over, anybody for that fact, Mav approaches them sideways. my buddy start callin him 'the sidewinder'!!! just wondering if anyone else's clown prince does this?!?!
When we first noticed Clio doing this at a very young age, we assumed she wanted us to sniff her butt, you know, like dogs greet each other. However, she has gotten used to the fact that WE are NOT dogs and WE are NOT going to sniff her butt! She still does it anyway.

Mother to Clio, flashy fawn, natural eared female with sox.
I had that same question about our girl. I was told most all Boxers do that. I have heard it called the kidney bean dance and the crab walk. I like the "would you like to sniff my butt" analogy best. Tell your buddies thats what he wants them to do...that will shut'um up!
This is so funny!! I'm crackin up over here. Check this out.....Whenever we come home from work, etc. our boxer does the side wind thingie too. My daughter says that he tries to shape a C shape when he does that because he is trying to say to us "You C for Complete me!" So he is saying "You Complete Me!" To us everytime we come home to him. Can you imagine? God, how adorable this breed is! I am falling completely in love with our boxer's C shape greeting.
Let me know what you think of this one!
Merry Christmas My Boxer Lover Friends!

This is so hysterical!!! I love the kidney bean dance!! When Roxy is praised for being a good girl she moves into a U shape and blows bubbles out her nose!! Her ears lay flat against her head, it is so cute!

Nestle kidney beans all the time. Even if we say her name in an excited tone she'll get that little nubbin going and pretty soon it is a full blown kidney bean dance. My mother has started calling it the donut because her tail touches her nose!
