dOES YOUR BOXER HAVE A FAVORITE?

My wife and I have three pets, two dogs and a pig, but harley is driving her crazy. Well not really crazy but she gets sooooo jealous because it's obvious that he likes me more than her. He will follow me everywhere and when I leave he will pace around the house and stare at the front door until I get home. She always asks if he does this for her and I just say no and she goes crazy. If all 3 of us are sitting on the couch and I move to the floor he will jump down and put his head on my back and lay beside me yet he never does this with her and she can't stand it although I have to admit that I LOVE it. I just thought of this again because last night she called him up into bed and made him lay down next to her and after about 60 seconds he rolled over and put his head on my chest, I just laughed as she got all red:p . I was just wondering if anyone else's boxer showed favorites the way he does.

I have to admit that I am Jasmine's favorite and he is Bailey's favorite. Which actually makes sense since I got Bailey for him as a x-mas gift and he got Jasmine for me as a b-day gift. He says that when I am not home and he is that they will sit and stare out the window waiting for me to get home. I can tell sometimes he is a little jealous of Jasmine following me around and loving on me more than him but it all even's out because Bailey does the same for him.

OMG!! I thought my boxer was the only one that did the window thing.....

my neighbor thinks it is the funniest thing she's ever seen!He sits at the window and watches for me. If I am late from work on my way home I can see my house about a block before I get there and I can see him sitting in the window watching for me. When I walk next door to my neighbors house, he will sit in my window and watch her house(her door faces my house) until I come back out. When my husband broke his wrist recently, a friend came to babysit while we went to the doctor and she said he sat in front of the window watching for us the entire time we were gone. I thought it was just a Joe-Joe thing but maybe it's a boxer thing!

Oh yeah....

..... Hera has a favorite and it's her daddy.....not me! What's funny is she was supposed to be my dog! I do all her training, most of her feeding and walking and she STILL prefers him over me. It's funny! When my husband leaves or comes home she completely abandons me in favor of him - even just to watch him leave! Too funny!

I am Junior's favorite! Dad doesn't like it that much but wherever I go in the house Junior has to be by my side regardless if I'm going to our room or downstairs to do laundry! Its so funny and Michael gets frustrated with it, but I just laugh.
As for the window thing, Junior does the same thing. Its crazy, he's always in the window waiting for me to come home, gotta love him!!!

This is a touchy subject...I am not sure I want to admit that our boxers could possibly have chosen favorites, ha ha ha. We have a lot of animals too, such as horses, chickens, dogs, and barn cats. Our two boxers, Samson, 5 1/2 months old, and Delilah, 3/12 months old, choose to give different sorts of attention to my husband and I. Samson likes to jump around and act crazy around me when I have been gone for a 1/2 hour or more. Oh, he almost knocks me down when he does his fly through the air, lunge at me, break his back act. Of course, with the little tail wiggling the entire time. I try to touch him and calm him down but this only makes it worse. He is nearing 60 pounds so those big excited paws definitely are a challenge when he decides to be happy that I am home. Both Samson and Delilah like to use my husbands head as a licking stone, ha ha ha. They want to lick him from neck up, face and all. Of course, when he has had enough, he's had enough. I wouldn't be able to tolerate that much puppy love but I do like a "kiss" below the chin now and then. I am also the one that gets "hugged" at night by Samson. He wants to lay beside me and put one paw under me and one arm and paw over me. Then I get the "smooshy face" against mine. It's sweet. Delilah sleeps between our pillows at night. She's still a tiny thing. She doesn't snore loudly yet. I think she prefers my company right now but I also think she is amused by me. She wants to grab anything that I am using arond the house such as the hair dryer, the vacume cleaner, a dust mop or a broom. Oh, she goes for the attack. Anyhow, sorry for the long message, I am boxer crazy. My 1 year old boxer/lab is also a nut, but that's another LONG story

Grandma is Buster's favorite. She buys the good treats and gets up early to play with him.

Sometimes it seems like Ginger likes us equally. But I still feel her Dad is her favorite. Don't know why?:rolleyes: I do everything from feeding her, taking her out, brushing her teeth, etc. I even picked her out of the litter of pups. When her Dad comes in the door, she acts like she saw a movie star!:D I sound a bit jealous, huh.:p

You sound exactly like my wife. She says the same thing. She does all this stuff for him but he still likes me the best. She's not afraid to admit that she is very jealous! And I love it!
