Does your boxer get "upset" when things are out of place in the house??

Layla usually gets upset and barks when I move her food or water dish to a different spot on the floor when I am cleaning, which I figured was normal since it is where she eats, but I also noticed that she stopped dead in her tracks and started barking when she noticed a new vase with tall flowers that I had put on a table a few days ago and she just noticed it!!

I also left a note for the Fed Ex guy on my glass storm door and she starting barking and growling at that too!!

Do your boxers get upset at changes made at your house??

DH and I are going to be re-decorating very soon and I could just imagine the "opinions" I will hear from Layla:rolleyes: !!!

Oh yes! Samantha notices everything that's different in the house! And in the yard, too! And in my neighbor's yard--she has a lot of "yard art"--little statues and figurines. She moves them around, and Samantha barks at them!

Beau is untested right now since I've only had him about a month. Everything is new to him right now.

Are you kidding me! Lola is usually the one doing the re-decorating and I am usually the one who is upset! Too funny.

We just bought a new wide screen TV for the rec room over the weekend. My hubby was setting it up and Lexi was helping out ;) When the time came to turn it on, I heard a loud bawoowoowoowoo come from the basement. I was baffled because Lexi only does this when strange people enter our house. When I asked hubby what was going on, he was rolling on the floor laughing. Lexi must have thought the man on the TV was in her rec room and gave out her warning  It's good to know that the picture on the TV is that good

Boru gets a little upset whenever I have to move his doggie bed. It's in front of some cuboards that are not used much. When I do try to move it, he jumps in it to try to stop me. Nooo, this is MY doggie bed and I like it right here nonoicon

The dogs here inspect everything, even the shopping as it arrives in the door and all must pass approval. :D

Even my 6 week old pups notice anything new and immediately pounce on it..
Seems boxers certainly are "the guard dogs" of the canines.

Although I have to admit nothing new gets past my cats inspection either and if its not to his liking ..... well look out!

That is so funny! Cassius will bark at anything new in the house for at least 20 min. He sleeps in our room and we usually keep the bedroom door open and the bathroom door shut, well he woke up one night and things were reversed. He couldn't go back to sleep unless I fixed them! I think he is a bit OCD!

I really haven't noticed, but my husband Greg says that Magnum notices when things have been moved around or changed.

The only thing I can recall is Magnum's reaction to our Christmas tree the first time he saw it.

Trinity is the same way, not only with stuff in the house but in the yard as well! We live in a townhouse so when we walk out of our front door we are facing the other building front door. The other day there was a bike parked in front of one of the doors. You would have though it was a ghost, she went nuts!!! Growling, barking, it was hilarious! I walked up to the bike to let her know it was ok, she wanted no part of it! Later that night when we went out again she immediately looked for the bike, luckily by then it was gone!
