I wish he did. He didn't feel guilty at all and in fact told me he was trying to kill Tyson. I tried to explain Tyson was just playing but he would not believe it and kept telling me those Pit Bulls are mean. I told the old man he was a Boxer and was still a puppy. The cops were there and didn't seem to think much of it. To me they acted like the man was over reacting but couldn't say much because Tyson was in fact out of our yard and in the old mans. They had to call animal control and when they got there they just helped me get Tyson in the car so I could get him to the vet. No one (animal control, cops, or the vet) thought Tyson was mean.

I do miss him tugging on my pant leg though. :( It was so cute.

I am soooo disgusted at that old man! I cannot imagine ever hitting an animal meaning to kill him. And I would NEVER strike an animal with a tool or any sort of weapon. I have been involved in an animal attack - 100 lb Dobie vs. Shiloh @ 9 mos. vs. me!! The Dobie had Shiloh by the neck and down - I started screaming at Bull to let him go but no luck - I jumped into the fracas and Bull turned on me. I smacked him hard on his nose and told him "no" . I think he was just as suprised as I and he left. I know I was lucky and should not have jumped in between them, but he was killing my baby. Shiloh had those two puncture scars on his neck until the day he died.

Another funny thing that Ruby will do is stand in the backyard outside our bedroom window (when we're trying to sleep in the morning), get one of her squeaky toys and SQUEAK, SQUEAK, SQUEAK until we let her in. She will do this right under the bedroom window.

Roxy talks to me too...starts this whining/growling thing!! It is so halarious! Often I stop whatever I'm done (of course!) and I talk back, saying, "Really? Noooooo! You don't say!!" Roxy pauses while I talk, and then she

Now that Ali has a million squeaky toys it's easy to get my attention - especially if I'm watching TV or on the phone - I'm starting to get worried that the noise will damage her ears! She will also touch me with a toy to get my attention, and she is a "talker" too, it's sometimes called honking cause she sounds like a goose. She's such fun to play with, I wish I'd brought her to work (there's nobody else here today).

Amuse themselves, NO WAY! They think that my husband and I were put on this plant to entertain them. They drop tug toys, rawhide, balls of all sizes in our laps to get us to play. They will look up at us with those pitiful brown eyes as if to say "please play with me I love you so much". When we try to reach for the toy they will then grab it and run with a big grin on their face.

Even though Vera LOOKS like a dainty and petite little girl, when she wants to play she lets you know! If one of us, usually my husband, is sitting on the couch she will grab on around his leg and start wrestling with it. She's a roughneck, she never likes to play nice and gentle. ;)Doesn't bother us much, we like her feisty. She will also bring her toys to you, and stand in front of you until you try and get it from her. Then she runs away, you know, teasing us. Fun, fun, fun...I think it's time for a playmate! :D

LOL Aren't they fun?!?!

Mine not only entice me, but they entice each other to play. When I throw a toy, they run to get it, and whoever gets it first sticks it in the other one's face, so they can tussle over it all the way back to me.
Gilroy will turn upside down when he wants to play with me or Purdy. He keeps his hind feet on the ground, butt in the air, puts his shoulder on the floor and looks at me backwards over his shoulder with a huge silly grin. He looks SO SILLY it works almost every time.

Regarding biting on feet and pants legs, I don't recommend allowing it, for the very reason Alisha said. Other people won't understand. Gilroy tried to teach us a game of shoe biting, and I wouldn't allow it, but my sons sneaked it in while I wasn't looking. Gilroy got out one day and ran straight for a kid on the sidewalk, trying to bite his shoes. The poor kid started screaming and running in circles, with Gilroy in hot pursuit, wagging his tail and biting at the kid's shoes. He called off when I got close enough to be effective, but that poor kid was scared to death. The rest of that day I kept waiting for the phone to ring with some angry parent on the line.
I told my sons that if I were sued, it was coming out of their bank accounts!!

Okay, okay so I use the term "working" loosely! I may have printed a thing or two out work-related then visited the Boxer board. :)
