Everytime Pearl goes out to do "her business" she gets done and RUNS in the house with this burst of energy because she's gone to the bathroom??? It is so weird it's every time. She gets so excited when she comes back in from going out to pee or poop -- it's just too much..... Then she gets the apples that fall from our tree and I keep seeing these round things in the house and look and it's a stupid apple. She thinks they're a ball. She doesn't eat them just thows them up in the air.

That is so funny

Think we should do it when we get done with our business. My family would think I was nuts... it would be funny though.

I get such a kick out of that. Brody does it every time he gets done pooping. Tucks in his butt and does a boxer burn around the yard and into the house (I better be holding the door open or he'll run into it!) I see him coming with his cheeks and ears flapping!

I think it's like Trish said, they just FEEL SO GOOD!

Roxy does the poop run but recently she started something new. Now after she's done she kicks her back legs out tearing up the grass. I've seen other dogs do this before but I'm still trying to figure out why?

Our Scooter does the run right before he goes, I just watch him run crazy until he finds the spot that he wants to go it!! To Roxy's parents Scooter tears up the grass after he goes and this trait comes from his mother. I asked the breeder about it and his mommy does it but beware if he poops and you bend over to pick it up too soon you'll end up eating dirt! YUK!!

Oscar used to do the same thing that Roxy's dog does, kick up dirt and grass when they are done doing #2. When we lived at our old house with the small yard is when he used to do it. It was as if he was trying to cover it up. He may have been considering how small the yard was. I also think he may have thought that he stepped in it and was getting it off his paws. He had done the step-in-doo a few times when he was younger, back when he didn't quite have enough control over his big paws.
