I have one of each also. We have a 2 1/2yr old female that tips the scales at a whooping 48lbs. But we also have a 3yr old male rescue that tips the scales even further at 80lbs. We also get the questions and the "I've never seen a boxer that small" comments. She comes from a good bloodline and her mom was average at about 60/65lbs but her father was on the top side of standard taller and heavier. Both champions so they fit confirmation standards. I believe all of her litter mates are bigger than she is.
Anyway I love my little girl and it is definately an advantage here in FL where we seldom wear closed in SHOES. I REALLY hurts when my 80 pounder steps on my toes as opposed to the little queen. Come to think of it she has alot of advantages that he doesn't. She can snuggle on the couch with anyone and fit. He on the other hand tried to snuggle with my 10yr old son and got so comfortable that he rolled on his back and right off to the floor. She also gives her paw and hugs much dantier than he can with his 80lb frame. They are all so different but what personalities to love.

Riley is 10 months and about 53-54 lbs now. I'm SO happy that she's not gonna be a huge girl. The guy I bought her from said that she would probably get to be around 75 lbs, but I am relieved that she's not going to. Riley's dad was 120 and her mom 60, so I guess Riley takes after her mom. Thank God for that...we don't have anymore room in the bed as it is!

Super Boo

Completely Boxer Crazy
Don't feel bad, Boo (female) is 25 1/2" tall and 75 lbs. We took her back to the breeder so she could evaluate her and the breeder was astounded at her size--she was like 3 " taller than her mother. Poor Boo always gets called a "he" by everyone too. She's our BIG girl:D

Cayman's Mom

Boxer Booster
My boy is 11 months old and 70lbs but in my eyes he is still that little 15 pound pup I picked up from the breeder? Is anyone else like this? Everytime someone see's him they say how big he has gotten but I dont see it.

Boxer Pal
Thanks to everyone for their feedback! I have to admit with Rylee's jumpiness and tendency to hop on pop (and mom), we defintely feel relieved that she isn't any larger...although I can't wait to see how the next one turns out :)

Small female

Hi, I also have a 2 year old fawn female and she weighs in at 45 lbs--but all muscle--I am not particulary big, so I am grateful she is on the small side--I have also seen many small boxers as well as those that are huge! i am not complaining.

Boy, was my mind in the gutter on this one! :)
 Ahem...you were not alone! :o
My brother is proudly owned by a petite brindle, Dutches, who is 7 and weighs in at 51lbs (was as tiny as the palm of your hand when she was born, only weighing 2 1/2lbs!). Nothing "abnormal" about it...some are petite and some are not, IMPO. :)

Cami

Boxer Insane
Whenever Cami is around other Boxers we are always told how small she is. I thought she was in the normal range for a female at 21in tall and 55-57lbs. They are all perfect no matter what size they are.

i believe 2.5lbs at birth is HUGE! i believe most pups when they are born range from a little below a 1lb - 1.5lbs (16-18oz), depending on the size of the litter of course. ;) anyways.. our little Nikita is fairly petite, she will be 1yr old next friday, weighs 51lbs and measures barely 22in to the withers. She looks tiny compared to her big brother Cassius (a bit over 25in and 71lbs) But she does fit much better in my lap  Shhhh.. don't tell Cassius that he's over the weight limit for "lap dog" status! (though even if you did tell him, i doubt he would care  )

Toffee is a solid 23" (maybe slightly more) and 70 pounds. She's a big girl!

People tend to call her a "he" too (like Boo), probably because of her size.
