Our Haley loves her bath or shower. We have to keep the door closed when we take ours or she walks on in. Now the other two like the pre-chase that Wanda was talking about. :)

Gracie loves a shower but only because she knows that she will get blow dried with my hair dryer afterwards.....my sister thinks I'm bonkers!

How funny another Boxer does that - I've never seen another dog do that before. When I used to take her to the dog park, people would go into hysterics when she would do that in the river. They used to laugh at her swimming, too - her dog paddle is so choppy, she just churns the water. How odd that Ginger doesn't like baths, though, if she's like that outside! Maybe you could throw her favorite ball in the tub or a squeaky rubber ducky and see if that helps.

I will not give up with trying to make her enjoy bath time! Good suggestion with the toys -- I'll try it for sure! Thanks!

Isn't it funny the way they blow bubbles?!! Sometimes she does it from her water bowl too! Especially during summertime, when she's playing outside!

Yes, the water bowl is the best - especially when it's being filled from the hose!

I was thinking of getting a kiddie pool for Emma this year. Is there something you can use in the water to keep it from getting icky? Thought I read something somewhere about vinegar. How often does the water need to be changed?

Emma also loves being blow-dried - gets so excited, though, she squirms constantly.

Good luck with the toys - if it doesn't work, you may want to try the toys first in her outside water area where she loves to play, and maybe she'll eventually make the association.

kiddie pool

rmcbrair -- Ginger loooooves her kiddie pool, as I'm sure Emma would too! We trow the ball in the pool and she goes and jump in, making tons of bubles :)

For the water, we don't put nothing in it, we just change it when it becomes dirty. We don't fill it up completely, trying to not use too much water.

Laila had a bath today, she was outside playing and had dirt all over her!!!! (Spring is here!!!). Anyways she was great, put her in the tub, she stood there so I could wash her, every once in a while she would give me a kiss!!!!! The process was so easy!!!!!! I am so glad she doesn't mind having a bath.

Kiddie Pool

Will definitely give the kiddie pool a try this year - don't see how I can go wrong. Emma will be ecstatic.

Laila and Cujo are cute, and what a hilarious name Cujo is - what kind of dog is he? Can relate to the spring dirt - mud here most of the time, since we've gotten so much rain this winter. Blah! Spring will be SOOOOO welcome!

The first bath i ever gave Brutus he tried to get out every time i took my had off of him. Now he just stands there like he just wants to hurry up and get it over with. Although he is very easy to deal with now when taking a bath.

rmcbrair - Cujo is a chihuahua, he is a mix between a long hair and short hair. He is not your typical 3 pound chihuahua, he is 9 pounds and very lovable. Although he barks at strangers, he thinks he is a big dog!!!!!

I couldn't help but laugh when I read your post. My brother-in-law came over this past weekend with his Chihuahua, Lucy. Cooper kept sniffing at her (just wanting to play) she was growling and nipping at him. Cooper would run away... She thinks 'she' is the big dog, and Cooper is the little pup!! Too Funny!
