Okay I have a quick question. My old roomate once told me about this stuff that she bought at a feed store to put on stuff that her dog had destroyed. This stuff I guess tastes horrible and you are supposed to put it on whatever they have been chewing on and entice them with it. Her trainer told her about it. Oscar keeps eating furniture and a Kennel is out of the question. I want to try this but I have no clue what it is called. My old roomate is out of town for 3 weeks and can't be reached. I hope some one knows what I am talking about.

Thanks for the help.

There is some stuff, I think its called "Green Apple" Its suppose to be bitter tasting. You're suppose to put it on stuff you don't want them to chew on. Most pet stores carry it.

Good Luck

I know what your talking about -- it's called chew gaurd spray you should buy this only at your Vets. -- CAUTION: this stuff will take your breath away so when you spray make sure that the area is well vented!! Green apple is also good however my darling liked it and chewed her bandage right off! So, the Chew Gaurd was the only thing to make her stop -- Good Luck --

"Bitter Apple"...and it is great. I got mine at PetsMart and Petco also carries it. Sprayed it once and that was it....no more chewing. I even used it on my hands to discourage some bad puppy biting at one point and time!

Bitter Apple is available in a cream formula which is suggested for furniture - apparently stornger than the spray.

Bitter apple is a great deterrant!! However you must reapply daily for it to work. This is what finally allowed us to keep area rugs around the house :)

I'm with Storri. We used Bitter Apple on the furniture and our hands. It worked wonderfully.

I have tired the bitter apple, he likes it to much, he just licks it off or in his case chews it off. I am gonna have to try the chew guard. Someone was teling me of a powder they used? They disolced in water and put a little tobasco sauce in it. However I can't get a hold of this person. So I will try the chew guard for now. Thanks for the help.
