Docked vs non-docked wagging

I read recently that breeds with docked tails wag their whole body because they are compensating for the loss of their tail. I just wondered if anyone on the board had a boxer with their tail intact - and whether they still wagged as enthusaistically as the "tail challenged". Or whether people with other breeds who also have docked tails find they wag their whole bodies too...

The example given to illustrate the point was a boxer, and I'm just not convinced. I think they just like to kidney bean. My parents had a Giant Schnautzer (sp?) and his tail was also docked, but I don't remember his whole back end going along with his tail!

I have a rottie and he doesn't wag his entire body. His little nub looks like a cotton ball, and just that wags like crazy.
Tyson, my boxer, on the other hand, bends in half constantly when he's excited. :)

Tae has a natural tail and she does plent of kidney beaning!

There was an adorable lab/Doberman/hound mix in our obedience class. She had her tail and she didn't quite kidney bean, but her whole rear end moved when she wagged. What a cutie!
