We live out in the country. We are fixing to move back into town. Frankie is not used to being in town. There are no dog parks here, and we have only went on a leashed walk in town a few times. He is very protective of us out here, and he barks at everyone and everything that moves out here. I know he is just being protective, but I am afraid when we move into town, he will be aggressive. The boys (DH and skin kid) sorta tease him, just playing around, but I am afraid that they won't understand that he is just trying to play, and they might think he is actually being aggressive and that he will hurt them. What should I do? Any tips to introduce him to being a city dog, and introduce him to being more of a people dog? Any advice would help.

I obsessed over the same problem when we moved from the country to the suburbs. I never thought that our dog would be able to adjust, but he made a great transition. In fact, he became one of the favorites of the neighborhood - Cathy
