Just curious but do any of you play any sort of games with your boxers? like hide and seek with a toy or maybe something more interesting?

Completely Boxer Crazy
Rudy LOVES hide and seek. My husband will distract her while in the backyard and I will hide - she goes crazy when he asks "where's mommy?" and takes off to find me. Duke could care less. She is so funny hopping around the backyard looking for me. Both of them love to play fetch as well - balls, frisbees, whatever.

Hide and seek is always fun. I play soccer with Cosworth as well.

I have a flat soccer ball (is there anything better?). The idea is that Cosworth is the goalie and that I score by getting the ball past him such that it bounces twice.

It's actually really tricky. He's really, really, quick side to side so even the fake kick with one foot, kick behind the heal with the other basically never works anymore. Really the only good way is over the top... But, if the kick is too high he will turn, run, and catch it out of the air. If it's too low, he'll snag it on the way up. Even if it is just right, he'll get it on the first bounce... You have to get it close enough that he goes for it on the up take, misses, and has to turn and chase, and EVEN then he still gets it on the first bounce 90% of the time.

Fetch, and anything involving water. Juno loooves fighting with the hose lol. I'll combine the two, and fill up the kiddie pool and toss things in there for her to retrieve--so funny to watch her stick her whole head underwater!

Hide & Seek (with me)
Find It (with an object)
Tug of War (an all time favorite)
Fetch
Frisbee
Teaching all sorts of amusing little behaviors. (I can get my two to do just about anything for food!)

Bentley plays Catch

One day it was raining outside and Bentley had ton of energy to burn so I decided I would wear him out by getting him to play our usual game of fetch, but in the house this time. Our house does not have any long hallways or huge rooms to really throw a ball across so I decided I would use the steps to get him tired quickly. I would stand at the bottom of the steps and throw the ball up and after about 5 or 10 times Bentley decided he did not want to keep running up and down the step after his tennis ball. So what does he do, he stands on top if the landing and drops or kicks it down the steps. It bounces back down to me as he watches it hit all of the steps on the way down. I call this playing catch because we both just stay in one spot and throw the ball back and forth. Just one of the crazy things that Bentley learned on his own and what makes him such a character.

We play hide and seek too-

Baxter's favorite game is for me to "get him". He runs around like a wild banshee and tucks his butt under, and I hide behind the couch or doorway, and when he comes by I roar and raise my "claws" like I'm going to grab him. He gets really riled up and does all these spin moves- needless to say, it's nap time afterward.

Flashlight Chase

My old boxer, Rudy, use to love to chase the light from the flashlight at night. It was great fun for him and if I was tired very little effort on my behalf. My other dog at the time didn't seem to get the game or the light to chase it and always thought Rudy had just suddenly lost his mind. She would chase him while he chased the light. I have not played this with Bigler yet due to the heat outside but will come fall!

Cg plays keep away. He will bring me a toy and when I try to take it from him, away he goes. This occasionally turns into tug. when that happens, it commonly becomes "not this toy". He has 2 toys for tugging, and if the one he brings is not one of those two, we tell him to get the correct one.
