Do You Have a Doggie Diaper Bag?

I have a bag that I keep packed with treats, toys, some kibble (in case were out past meal time), a water dish, a water bottle, an extra leash & collar, poopy pick-up bags, anything I might need for Sandy while we're on an outing. I jokingly refer to it as my Doggie Diaper Bag but it really comes in handy. It's always ready so when we're going out I can just grab the bag and Sandy is ready to go along. People laugh at me when I arrive for a visit with Sandy's leash in one hand & her "bag" in the other but I don't care. It works great for us because I love to take her with me whenever I can. I guess I'm a boy scout at heart because I always want to be prepared! :D When my son was a baby I had a bigger diaper bag than any of my friends. They laughed at me then to come to think of it. :D I had anything I might need in any emergency right down to a rectal thermometer. Oh, I just realized, I need to add some 1st aid items and emergency numbers to Sandy's bag. Does anyone else have Doggie Diaper Bag? Or am I really just "The Crazy Dog Lady" that people here think I am? :D

What a great idea! I think I might do the same thing. Whenever I take him anywhere, I have to get a bag together. It would certainly be easier to have one packed and ready at all times! Thanks for sharing the idea!

No, it's not just you! I have one too! We keep it in the boot of BF's car and it comes in really handy if we're out longer than we meant to be. I also keep anti-histamines in there and wet wipes etc.
I know BF thinks I'm nuts. I suppose I got into the habit when my skin kids were small so I automatically made up a bag when furbaby came along :D

I have one for both dogs. It's always packed and ready to go. If people think you're a crazy dog lady - I don't want to know what people think of me. I have an explorer, and the far backis the "dog" area - I have to move their stuff so I can put groceries in if they're not with me. THe back has one of those pet guards on it so they can't get into the front with me (Siren will try to get in my lap and I will crash and die) and it has dog beds back there, and toys - of course. We have a tote of emergency supplies (husband is a cop - apparently carrying a large amount flares is a MUST) and on the top of the tote I attached carpet so that my pin can get away from my boxer (sits too high for her to be comfortable but believe me she tried) and it makes it so that he can sit up high and watch out the window. They both love going for a ride back there. I even took a fan and attached it to the metal guard so that some of the a/c would blow back there for them.

That's just the start of the "accomodations" that my fur kids have. And as for the doggy bag - if you design a cool enough one - I'll buy it for sure. Mine is a duffel bag right now. I don't have skin kids - so it's not from preparing for them - I just am a "taker carer" of all those important in my life. I carry gum in my purse constantly, and I hate chewing gum - it's for my husband. AFter 5 years he still thinks I chew gum....little does he know it's just for him.

Since day one this girl goes everywhere with us, even church every Sunday and she has a real diaper bag left from one of my skin kids that I never used and it has Snoopy on it.

We went to a "Bark Park" yesterday for the first time and I took the bag with me which was a big mistake, all the dogs went after the bag because of the bags of treats in it, lets just say, Snoopy got a beating yesterday! LOL

Yup, I got the doggie bag ready when we travel or go to the dog park. The one for the park also has some first aid stuff like liquid bandage, benedryl, bandages, pepper spray - just in case.
One of mine actually is a baby bag I got free from my "doctors" office - it came full of baby stuff and coupons which I gave to the neighbor and than I kept the bag.

I love this idea!!! I was just going to order a LL Bean bag and you can have a picture of a dog, I think its a lab but you can have your dog's name on it. I wanted one but didnt quite know what to use it for, thanks for the idea

Yes, I also have a doggie bag for mine. I adapted the version of going to grandmas, and made 1 especaially for going to auntie T`s, even made a cover for the bag that said this is my going to auntie Tonja`s house bag.
Had to include items to clean up should there be an accident,
sealed inside a plastic bag along with paper towel.
I just wanted to be sure all bases are are covered when we go for visits. It
comes in handy in many sitautions not just accidents, but footprints on carpeting is an example of where it came in handy.
I think my sister actually appreciated the fact that I was so thoughtful and brought everything along for almost any given situation.
