Do you crate your boxer in the car?

I don't crate Chief in the car. He LOVES to sit in the front seat and hang his out of the window. Especially when we go to McDonalds because they have dog treats at the checkout window!

We are going out of town in June, and it will be about a 7 hour drive. We are considering crating him then?? Don't know yet!

I use a harnass on lulu in back seat. It keeps her and I safe..Also, be careful of the airbag in the front seat..

as soon as you put chloe in the car she goes right to sleep like a baby. we went on a three hour drive and forgot she was with us, she slept the entire ride.

I have a 2001 PT Cruiser that I have no option of turning the front passenger airbag off. Tag rides in the back seat with a harness on that the seatbelt runs through and hooks her in. When we get into the car, she knows to go to the back driver's side door and gets in and waits for me to put her "seat belt" on her. I would not ride a dog in a car without a seat belt harness of some sort or in a crate (although I used to do it all the time). Also, I have Progressive car insurance which offers $500 pet injury coverage if you are in an accident. Just something to think about if you are riding with your dog in the car on a regular basis and don't have Progressive (check their rates compared with what you have).

we just let the babies stay in the back sit they just sit, sleep or hung their heads in the windows, but if it's a long drive like more than 3 hours drive i tend to put them in crate in the back of the truck. they really love it back there.
