Do Boxers & Bunnies mix?

I posted earlier about our dogs killing my daughters hamster. She is wanting to get something larger like a rabbit or another cat. I know the dogs will be fine with a cat. We had 2 cats when we got our dogs, and still have 1 of them now (The other cat ran away when the dogs got bigger). But she has her heart set more on a bunny. I'm just afraid the dogs are going to go after it as well. I don't want to get a pet where we have to keep it locked up in a cage for it's own safety. So can Boxers be trained to not chase rabbits? Or should I try to talk her out of it?

I have a rabbit also, but he lives in a large hutch outside in the summer. Titan goes out to check on him every day with us, and he likes to play-nip at the bunny's feet thru the bottom of the cage. When we open the cage door the bunny hops out a little and Titan loves to give him kisses. However, I've never let the bunny out of his cage since Titan has came to our home, so I dont know what would happen. We have wild rabbits run thru our yard and Titan doesn't pay attention to them. As crazy as it sounds, I bought a leash for the bunny when i got him several years back and use to walk him. I dont know if it would help you to try to walk your bunny while the dogs are around, so they get use to him--just have quick reflexes to grab him incase the dogs dont like him!
