Do any natural remedies KILL fleas??

I have been searching posts for natural flea remedies, but most are just flea preventatives. Is there a natural remedy that actually kills fleas and eggs?? Both dogs and the cat have fleas. I have given Frontline in the past, but we are really short on money right now and I would rather try a natural product as Sam has sensitive skin. Also how would I kill fleas in the house?? I am so sad over this...:(

Diatomaceous earth kills fleas, and can be used for both the dog and the house. You want food grade, not pool grade. There are tons of websites that discuss using DE for flea control.
