Yes, do give updates - it's always interesting to see how things pan out Sometimes it's much clearer with adults than pups also.

Breed is irrelevant when it comes to the actual dog, but if you're really interested in knowing his ancestry from the point of view of genetics, another member recently went the DNA testing route. I've been concerned about genetic predisposition to illnesses since the day our Vet said "Boxer". I guess in the back of my mind I've hoped he was a mix and that being a mix would somehow cancel out any consequences of poor breeding practices.

We'll keep our fingers crossed healthwise and consider having his DNA run or screened to see if he is going to need any special care to make sure he stays healthy, and while were at it it'd probably be pretty interesting to try and clarify his ancestry.

Nonetheless, this Forum has been a great help since he came into our life. It is abosolutely the best resource I've come across for our little guy.
