Diesel won't eat or drink, vomiting constantly!

Thank you everyone for the warm thoughts. It is only 7:00 here in CA, and I'm calling every 5 minutes but they're not open until 8:00 I guess. Diesel still won't eat or drink, but hasn't vomited since yesterday afternoon. We're going to have the vet do X-rays and blood work. I'm also bringing in an apricot to show the vet, they are only slightly bigger than a quarter as it is still early spring. We can't wait to fix him up so he can cause trouble again. I'll let you know what happens. Thank you!

The vet just called, they did blood tests and x-rays and could not find anything abnormal with poor Diesel. They said he had some gas pockets, but they couldn't find anything obstructing his digestive tract. They also said that the apricot pits weren't toxic?? I've read that they are, and so have some of you guys...hmm. They said he is about to have a bowel movement, so it seems his digestive tract is moving things along. Maybe he's constipated, I just thought of that. They are going to give him fluids before I pick him up. I'll let you know when/if he feels better. Thanks to you all

Just wondering how Diesel is today has he eaten or drank water yet? if not is he dehydrated? I would give him boiled chicken and rice the rice holds moisture in and when my dog was really sick I kept the chicken water for him to drink also. I hope he gets better soon or I would get a 2nd opinion. When Harley got sick it almost took a week for him to come back. Sending healing vibes))))))))))) for Diesel

Well, he came home from the vet last night, sluggish but pumped full of fluids so dehydration isn't a worry yet. He has a few different medicines he gets once a day.

He just woke up this morning and vomited 5 times, and he is shaking (not like a seizure, but like the chills). He won't eat anything voluntarily (since Thursday), so last night we stuck peanut butter and some yogurt inside his mouth, because he has had zero calories since Thursday.

So, the bloodwork and x-rays were ok and he's taking stomach soothing medicine but still vomiting and not eating or drinking on his own. We are taking him to another vet in a few minutes. We are so scared, we'll let you know.

Well it now hurts him when we press on his stomach. The vet will conduct a barium study (he swallows barium and they do x-rays while it passes through his system) today and an ultrasound tomorrow. The vet suspects pancreatitis or an obstruction. We'll get the bring him home at night and take him back in tomorrow morning.
