Didn't even see it coming........

My precious Logan is 10 mos. old now and of course perfect, hehehe. We have had him only 4 months since he was a rescue puppy.
My sister lives in Denver and thru emails I have bragged about everything from his behavior to his personality. How he must have a bladder the size of a pumpkin cause he never pees in the house and is just my perfect little boy.
Ok, my sister and her family comes home for Christmas and stops to see us and our Logan as soon as she gets to town. (She is as animal crazy as me)
They couldn't have been here more than 5 minutes when Logan pees all down her jeans and INTO her shoe....yes, while it is on her foot. While we were all standing there hugging each other he must have smelled her dogs and took the opportunity to mark his territory. Notice how fast I had an excuse as to why my PERFECT baby made a liar out of me? She still fell in love with him cause he followed it up w/one of those toothy grins......geeeez, how cute was that? Not even an Elvis partial lip but a full bottom tooth grin. I used to think the stuck lip thing was accidental but I'm starting to think he can control it....rofl.

Oh God, that happened to me once when a repairman came to the house. Didn't know whether I should act like I didn't notice, and/or wait for him to first. Of course I immediately cleaned off his pants leg and appologized, but had a tough time containing my nervous laughter. Thanks for the amusing story ~ Cathy

Baaad puppy....Ha,ha!!! I can´t count the times I have been peed on by other dogs.... The other day me and my boyfriend came home and wondered why some of our clothes were wet.... when they dried up we knew why!!!! Buster trying to make some kind of statement????

Ha, Ha, Ha...this is such a funny story. My Magic use to grin a toothy grin when friends were saying goodbye at the door. She did it so many times that I really felt she knew what she was doing. Boxers are so funny! Thanks for making my day with Logan's story. LOL

Marking/peeing like that is thought to be a territorial/dominant gesture - which might not be surprising since your boy is 10 months old and starting to become mature. And as you say, he may have smelled her dogs' scent. I'd just keep a good eye on him in case he thinks it might be a good idea to start marking inside the house on a regular basis Is he neutered yet? If not, now might be a good time...
