Those people should be shot. No tied outside, infested with heart worms and starved. A 2 yo boxer baby weighing 27 pounds. It broke my heart. Thankfully there was a happy ending. I am not sure if she was mixed because her snout sure looked long, but she was a typical boxer. Just wanted a lot of love. I loved it when she laid down on the floor right in front of the baby (skin). Such a sweet boxer. I really admire the people that do those jobs. I couldn't do it. I'd be too intent on making the sorry owners suffer immediate punsihment. The punishment would definitely mimic the crime!

Yea I saw it. It was Animal Cops Detroit. It was terrible, that baby was soooo skinny. His tail was sooo long too. Hmmmm I can't say what I would like to do to people like that!!!!

Was it a boxer I thought it was a boxer mix?

Either way it is sad, very sad people like these should be made to suffer and I would be the first in line.

I saw the end of that program last night. I am so glad that poor baby found a good home. I think she was a pure bred boxer, just very poorly bred. The way her new owner discribed her reminded me so much of my own "velcro" boxer, she would rather be loved then play! lovicon

The other thing I was happy about was that they issued an arrest warrent for the former owner, even if they didn't catch them that day eventually they will be caught!

The sad part of the story is that these people had been visited by humane society agents once before when the boxer was seen to be malnourished. They put on a good face and made some changes, then moved and did the same thing, and the HS was called again, which is the main reason they took the dog promptly and issued a warrant for the woman's arrest.

They mentioned briefly that they saw a yorkie puppy happy and healthy in the house. When a new, cute puppy came, they just tossed the boxer girl out back and ignored her. They will do the same to that yorkie when it grows up, I have no doubt. Unfortunately, the penalty for the misdemeanor cruelty charge they said was only a $1000 fine or community service or a few days in jail. I think they should tie that woman out in back of the jail, ignore her and let her go without food so she knows what it feels like.

Isn't it amazing how usually these dogs that they find in such miserable conditions are still so sweet? You would think that they would HATE people wouldn't you? Makes me sooooooooo mad! GRRRRRRRRRRR

I agree, first I thought she was a mix also, till they did all the closeups on her.
There was a rerun on over the weekend that had two boxers living in the same junkyard. They were both underweight and the male had large gashes in his lips. Looked painful, poor guy.
They are showing clips of another one that I don't think has aired yet and it has a boxer. The rescuer is saying it is cold, wet and hungry. Terrible.
I watch alot of Animal Planet if you can't tell!

I watch a lot of Animal Planet too. I saw the episode over the weekend with the 2 boxers in the junk yard. I hope they found a home together.
I try not to watch those shows because they just make me so mad. And then when there are boxers I get sad because I can't imagine how someone could do such things to such sweet pups.
