Cottage chesse, yogurt, cheese, eggs (scrambled or raw) and some vegetables like green beans, carrots or others are all good additions to the kibble. Apples, bananas and some other fruits are also good. With the veggies, I will steam them and then process them to tiny pieces in my food processor. I read somewhere recently that brown rice is far better than white rice if feeding that but have not been able to researc it sufficiently.

The one thing that you need to be aware of is that not all "human" food is good for dogs or Boxers for that matter. Onions, chocolate, green parts of tomatoes and seeds of cherries and apples, to name a few, are things to stay away from with your dog. You can do a search for threads on feeding to get more information. Hope your little one likes the new food and is feeling better!!

I found this on the ASPCA website:

Onions, onion powder
Chocolate (baker's, semi-sweet, milk, dark)
Alcoholic beverages
Yeast dough
Coffee (grounds, beans, chocolate covered espresso beans)
Tea (caffeine)
Salt
Macadamia nuts
Hops (used in home beer brewing)
Tomato leaves and stems (green parts)
Potato leaves and stems (green parts)
Rhubarb leaves
Avocados (toxic to birds, mice, rabbits, horses, cattle, and dairy goats)
Moldy foods

Hope this clears any questions up. If you're interested, you can do more research on their website at www.napcc.aspca.org. This address will provide information on preventing poisoning in animals.
