Hi,Our lil boxer pup chance just got his first shots about a week ago,up until then his stool was normal an hard, but after that it turned really runny so went to the vet an got a prescription, seemed to work so took him off thinking it was all good, but took him out this morning and still the same problem but this time with a lil trace amount of blood, nothing to much but enough to scare my fiance an I. So we called the emerg. vet an said aslong as hes not vomiting(which he isnt)and normal acting(which he is) then everything is ok, an sometimes just because he has had the poops that it can cause blood vessels to burst and that might be where it came from,so nothing to serious to worry about right now, but just for a lil peice of mind for us b/c we have fallen head over heels for him and only want hime to be ok,if there is anyone out there who had/has the same situation please let me know.
Thank you so much in advance!!!!

I'm sorry that I don't have any good advice to offer but we're going through the same thing right now with our little Audrey. I actually posted about it and then posted that everything was ok but now things are back to not so good again. ): She keeps having runny stools with the trace amount of blood in them as you describe. Our vet has advised we put her on a GI Rx diet but I'm trying other things first. What prescription did your vet give you and what food are you currently feeding Chance?

Audrey has been on antibiotics long term for a kidney infection so I keep thinking that might have something to do with it. I'm feeding her Natural Balance LID Sweet Potato and Fish (dry and canned) plus I started giving her Probiotics. She's 5 1/2 months now but when we first adopted her in January, she had Giardia which we treated her for and she's since tested negative multiple times. Like you, I'm not sure what to do for her and it's making me crazy.

aww really...ya its nice, and pretty scary when it happens...same situation like you he seems like he is starting to get over but if whatever it is keeps coming back on audrey then ya it would be nice to know really what is going on..the vet gave us "metronidazole" an said take 1 every 12 hrs for a week...it seems to work sometimes but every once in awhile it does come back...we have him on "performatrin for puppies"...so hopefully with any luck it wont b back and hopefully both of our puppies will be ok...thanx for responding, its nice to know that there is someone else having some of the same issues..
Thank you!!!
