WOW! that IS a lot of money. He is really a beautiful dog though, so, you figure, if you would have gotten him as a pup, he prob. would have cost you at least $3-500 dollars, plus shots, plus neuter, and wow that is a nice crop job. That was prob. another $2-250, plus all the time taping and bla bla bla. Haha..hint hint, make the rescue an offer. Maybe they will let you have him for a bit less... Keep us posted please!

He's beautiful! If you can dish out the extra $ go for it!
He deserves a loving mom like yourself. It's wonderful you are considering adopting an adult boxer. It's much less expensive than a new puppy

Holy cow, that is a high adoption fee! Our rescue charges the same amount ($200) across the board regardless of the dog's age or how much vet care we had to invest. We make up the difference in donations and fundraisers.

Maybe they have some sort of sliding scale and that other factors are included. I know we could never get away with charging that much . . . everyone would just tell us that they could get a puppy for less.

He's gorgeous. And as mentioned before, it's really not that much when you factor in neutering and other vet expenses. BUT, I do understand it's still a bit of money...let us know how it goes.
