It is funny I should see this here. It was only today that I noticed Jackson's scars. They are only small. He is 2 years old and this is the first time that I noticed it.
This is my second boxer, but my first came from a BYB and her dew claws weren't removed. Piper's are removed and maybe because she's brindle I can't seem to see any scars. I've looked because I was curious to see where they removed them from. I don't seem to think that your obedience trainer should have commented on something that had nothing to do with class. I don't understand why people don't think that every dog is different, even in the same breed.
Just be thankful for scars or no scars. My dog PJ, had his dew claws removed before I got him. One got bloched as my vet said so I have to keep it clipped very, very short, because it grows upward in a circle and may catch on things and hurt him. Or the vet can remove it for $270-$336. I prefer to clip for now because I don't want to put him through surgery.
