dew claws

I have a rescue 2 yr old boxer. I noticed her dew claws are missing and she has scars from it. Is this normal? Or...did someone do a bad job. I don't know what happened in her previous life. I have found other scars on her as well, even on her cornea. Poor thing! I hope it was some accident and not abuse!

It could have a been a poor dew claw job, or it could have just been the way it healed. Disco has one scar that stands out more than her other one, but I think thats just how they healed.

Mackensie has horrible scarring from her dew claw removal. Occasionally, the scar gets scratched and since it's very thin, it bleeds...

spanky too, i have had people comment on it when they play with him, being white the pink scars really stand out on his feet, they are so long and frankenstein like.
