Deer steak and small round bones?

I feed my guys both kibble and RAW. Well today I gave them nice size deer steaks that they devoured. There were quarter size round bones in the meat that they swallowed. They have never done this and I do supervise them eating always. Problem is by the time I realized how fast they were eating the bones were gone. Anyway I called the vet and they said to give them doses of peroxide twice to try to get them to spew it out. My Weim got everything up no problem. My Boxer Grady on the other hand had nothing come up. So I called the vet back(after hours) and she said just to keep an eye on him. I was just wondering if anyone ever had this problem? Could he possibly pass the bone? I watch my dogs when they go out so I will be able to check to see if it passes. I am just a little worried about a blockage or something. The vet said to come in 2-3 days if he is acting differant or sick. I just wanted to come here to see if any of you guys had been in this situation. Thanks

Thanks I hoping that is what happen. Each steak only had 1 bone so hopefully it will be easy for him to pass it.

He probably won't pass it :) As in, no need to. Raw bones are fully digestible, and the dog digesting it is the most likely outcome.

Well, if it wasn't very large, then I'd expect that outcome :)

A really large solid bit of bone could be problematic, but smaller sized ones should be dealt with pretty easily by the digestive system.

If it's only that big, I wouldn't have bothered with inducing vomit but I guess that's too late.

In the beginning, I gave my two some cut oxtails that had bone about the size you are describing and I realized they swallowed some whole (didn 't feed the cut ones again)...but they had no problems. My two were gulpers so they occasionally had undigested bone in their stool. They've learned to chew now and I give bigger pieces. Anyway, bottom line, I wouldn't really worry.
