I'd get him to a vet (if you've got an on-call weekend vet). It could be a bad infected tooth, or a plugged saliva duct. Our Rocky had it happen, the side of his face was swollen especially towards the back of the jaw. The vet gave him antibiotics and we were told to gently massage it every day (in case it was a plugged saliva duct). It cleared up after 4 or 5 days, and never came back.

It does sound like a blocked saliva duct. Especially with the speed it came up.
My mother occaisionally suffers with this, her jawline on one side will suddenly swell up soon after eating. It can last a couple of days and to relieve it she has to suck on lemons. I cannot however see how you would get your girl to do this so to be on the safe side get her checked out at the vets.
Hope it goes down soon.

After you take your baby to the vet, please let us know how it went. We'll be thinking about you. :)

New !!

Thank you to the three ( and only three ) that helped me stay a little calmer i put ice on Aurora's jaw and lower ear and gave it some time and its almost back to normal . I am still gonna take her to the vet to find out why this could have happened ! You know what though , out of all the people who love their dogs and are so passionate about animals its really sad to see in the time of someones need you find out who the real animal lovers are because they are the only one who cared to reply !!!!! Thank you again to the three who helped me , and to the rest of you who saw the post and didn't reply , well i don't have much to say about you and really don't think much of you either !!! Thanks again guys and girls !!!

hang on a minute UH-OH. Sometimes people read a post but don't have experience of that problem so they don't post a reply. In which case the most useful thing they could say would be to go to the vet, which has already been suggested by others before them. We can't all always have something to say about everything.

Needless to say, I do hope Aurora's lump is ok and has gone away.

If it makes you feel better UH OH I have posted and had zero replys. I don't have a computer on the weekends so I had to wait to reply till today. Give us credit for something. I hope your little girl feels better and everything is okay. We send boxer hugs and kisses.

UH-OH - I too sometimes read a post and do not reply because I don't have an answer. Just because people don't reply to your post does not mean that they don't care.

Geez, UH-OH, I too only have access on weekdays. How about saying a heartfelt thanks for having three people respond to you in three hours? Where else can you find such a wonderful resource?
Do you expect everyone who has no idea of what to say, to write and say, "Sorry, but I can't help you" or "What she already said sounds like a good idea"?

I realize it's scary when you have a sudden, unexpected medical problem, but you'll get much more from this board if you keep a positive outlook.

Glad to hear that your pup is looking better, and I hope your vet is able to figure out what happened, so you can have some peace of mind. I can tell you really love your boxer!!!!
