Dandruff, dry ear tips and prickly fur.

Just wondering your thoughts on this. My reverse seal brindle 9 month old pup has dandruff, dry scale ear tips, and his fur is very prickly. I am feeding him a mix of Acana and Fromm. My thoughts are he is missing an oil in his diet and I am thinking for adding salmon oil. Any other thoughts.

It certainly wouldn't hurt! Try it and see if it makes a difference.

You could try some coconut oil (1/4 tsp. per 10 lb. of body weight). Start with a lower amount at first to avoid tummy upset. Unfortunately, Jackson can't tolerate it, but I give it to my other dog.

Winter here is very dry.
We started giving our three boxers salmon oil, one tab each morning.
Seems to have helped the dandruff and the shedding.
