I took PJ to vet again on Sat, he was limping again same leg 3rd time. When he was 9 weeks old he fell off a couch and landed wrong. I have taken him to the vet everytime he has limped. This time the vet did x-rays found damage at the top of his right shoulder. She said if she did not look closely at the x-ray she could have missed it. The vet said that PJ has pinched nerve, or inflammation or both from over playing. My family went swimming and he was playing with another dog. That night he was limping a little. The next day he was only using 3 legs would not put any weight on the front right foot. He layed in one spot I had to carry him out side carefuly did not need leash he was much in so much pain. He looked so sick. I used a infant med despendser to get water down him and feed him his food when i had him outside sitting up. The vet told me to keep him on Chondro-Flex Joint Chews for the rest of life, and gave me Metacam for pain or inflammation only when limping. THE GOOD NEWS he is on all fours and doing good. Next time he starts limping I will know why and what to do. I know he will have to be resticted for hard or heavy play. But I will do what I have to for him.

Boxer Insane
I'm sorry to hear. I also have a dog with a chronic leg, she has massive arthritis in the knee of one hind leg and you can feel the changes, so sad. I keep her on extra Omega 3, Syn-flex, and Missing Link. This has helped her greatly. She only takes a Rimadyl on really bad days and overall gets around great. It is hard when they have a chornic issue like that. Hopefully you can mostly keep it under control.
