Hey Storri I will let you know, I am going to talk to my Boyfriend and make sure we will be able to make the trip but I mentioned it to him and he sounded delited to go to Dallas. I went to the petswelcome.com website and I think Motel 6 has no fee and are willing to take big dogs. But we would have to call in advance to make sure their size is OK with them. You should go and look at the webpage really helpful.

My internet explorer went on the "fritz" for the last 1 1/2 weeks and I have been unable to post on Boxerworld!!!! :(
I have been panicking because I did not want to miss the Bash!!! My mother got your e-mail, Susan, (thank you so very much!!!) but she had already erased it. I had no one's e-mail address!!!!:confused:
Now that I am back, I see the date will be July 21st at White Rock Doggy Park at 10 AM.
Mom and Dad wo't be able to come with their Boxers since they planned their vacation to be here July 7th and it is too late to change it.:(
My three Boxers probably will be more than enough!!!! You all might throw us out of the Bash because we are a bit boisterous and rowdy!!!!
I hate it about the food. I had already made two one-gallon bags of liver brownies and have them frozen.lovicon
Have directions and address been posted yet? I have gone back
several pages, but have not come across any.

My two babies will be one year old July 9th. Their Mamma, Vicki, wines constantly, "Say it isn't so!"
I bought a Springer leash for my bike so I can teach them to jog when I ride.
Anyone have any experience with Springer leashes? My friends who take their Boxer jogging hold a regular leash on the handle bar of the bike, which I always thought was unsafe. My Springer leash will be attached to the hub of the rear wheel and has a huge spring to minimize any jerking on the leash. It has a safety release if the dog decides to dart on the wrong side of a roadside object (light post, fire hydrant, mail box, etc)

I went all the way back to page two of this thread and found the directions to the dog park. You all realize we have written a short novel planning this Bash!!!!!?????? It might be helpful to publish them again to refresh everyone's memory, especially the "out-a-towners" (like me)gradicon
I can not wait!!!!! I probably will drive straight to the dog park from Ada. It is about a three hour drive, so expect my dogs to be boisterous and full of energy. Hopefully when they take their first "wee-wee", it won't flood the park. wormicon
My dogs can take camping like a bunch of "kiddie" scouts (with the help of bark collars), but a motel would be an entirely different story. That motel 6 probably would freak out over three huge boxers!!!!

Hey you guys, I just went to the White Rock home page.
Maybe I'm jumping the gun because I haven't been there, but from reading the message board it sounds like they are haveing some major growing pains.
The park is only 1.2 acres, and parking on a sat might not be so good.
I know this is late in the game of planning but the plano park is allot bigger. Lot's of room for our babies to run and not worry about "the rules" of White Rock.
Sorry to bring this up now. But what if there's another group planning a Bash at white rock?
If those of you that have been to White Rock think it's cool than Party on! Just thought I would toss that out there. Either park is the same drive for me.
I want us all to have a good and safe time! :D

Hey!!!!I am so glad someone had the great idea to check out the park size!!!!!! I vote a resounding "NO" to a park that is only 1.2 acres!!!!That is the size of a family's yard here in Ada America.....1.2 acres has got to be over-taxed by the"normal" Saturday crowd.......It will never hold a Bash safely.....
Let's go for the bigger park where non-Boxer owners and non-Boxers won't get upset and accuse us of "pigging" the park. We need room to "breathe" so we can be rowdy, boisterous and fun safely!!!!!
