D-Mange

Duke had dmange from 4-8months. I decided to take the natural route. He eats Innova.. and I also gave him yogurt daily, a vitamin E tablet, Missing Link, apples, oranges, carrots, and other veggies on a daily basis. I also rubbed goodwinol ointment on his bald spots (he had 4-5). It cleared up w/in 4 months. It felt like forever.. and sooo many times I was tempted to do the dips or other meds., but I decided not to I am sooo happy I did not do anything else, bc it CLEARED UP!

I completely respect those who choose to go the holistic route - but Stella's D-mange cleared up in 6 weeks with the Ivomec and a nutritional diet - Wellness, Vitamin E & C, missing link, Kefir (which is better than yogurt - do a search), carrots, eggs, and olive oil. I also put Neem oil on her bald spots. Good luck - don't worry, the hair will come back!

My pup Yogi (5mths)just got diagnosed 1-25-06 with D-Mange. Boy let me tell u I was so scared. But then with the help of this wonderful site and all the people who post here I got so educated. We have now switched his food to Canidae and he is on Goodwinal cream for 2wks and then we go back to the vets to see what is next. He has a spot on his head and shoulder. So far so good.
I must say he loves his new food and from what I have read its wonderful for him. The same money as what we were feeding him. Be a careful reader of ingredients of the food you give your pup. You would be suprised how much bad food is out there.
