as in, Dog Appeasing Pheromone...it is by Comfort Zone...has anyone used this..? My vet recommended it to my wife and I, because our 19month old female is having serious seperation anxiety problems...the vet says he has recommended it to other clients and they say it works wonders...I wanted to know if anyone has any info or personal experiences..?

i tried it for awhile, and honestly i dont think that it helped any.
when my ex moved out, jez was around 11 mos (in 2nd fear period to boot) and she became destructive when left alone. i tried the pheremones, but it didnt seem to have any effect on her. what did have an effect was crating her for another few months . maybe DAP would help in your case..i dont know what your situation is...its a little pricey, but who knows, it might help. if not, there are plenty of threads on here about how to deal with sep. anxiety

I have heard that sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. It would certainly be worth a try.

We tried it as well with our 6 month old who has separation anxiety...and it didn't do anything. Our behaviorist informed us it has to be used in a smaller sized room and used only for the right thing, separation anxiety being one of them...and for some it works, unfortunately it didn't for us. But we bought it at Petsmart and they bought it back which was awesome. So cuz of that, it may be worth a try.
