Hey guys... We are going to Virginia beach tomarrow and to the beach on Tuesday. Cypress has liked the lakes that he has seen so I am excited about taking him to the ocean. But.. Then I started thinking are looking if the salt water will hurt him. So far the only thing I have seen has been it may cause diareah or vomiting. And professional beach go ers who want to offer up some advice? Any thing you bring with you to help clean up better? Any tips or any advice at all will be appreciated. I am so looking forward to it and want to make sure Cypress has a GREAT time. I'm gonna get some pic and I will post them up. Oh.. Is it too cold to let him go in now? The day is suppossed to be 70.. I just thought of that. Ahhh Thanks guys!

I hope ya'll dont get rained on. I live in Va Bch and the weather man said its suspose to rain all day today and tomorrow. I always bring a small cup with me to put fresh water in to rinse Zeus off when we take him to the beach. They have some stations on the board walk where you can rinse off at. I dont know if the water will be to cold. It might be humid some or windy. I hope ya'll have fun.

Watch how much sand they eat and don't allow them to drink the saltwater. Savannah would run and grab a mouthful of sand while I wasn't looking and eat it. Then, she would bolt to the water and take in a big mouthful. Later on she threw it all up. It was kinda gross. Just some suggestions.

Thanks Guys!! Ahhh I HOPE it doesn't rain! But if it is a warm rain I might take him anyways. He loves playing in the rain when it is warm. I figured I could wash him off at the hotel too if we go right back. They have a hand shower there in the rooms. And I checked to see if he was allowed on the beach and yup.. dogs are allowed on the off season! OK... everyone keep all fingers toes and paws crossed for no rain or maybe a nice break in the am so we can get some beach time! I am going to take a back pack with a towel, baggies, a plastic shovel, water dish and bottles of fresh water for him to drink. Anything I am forgetting? Oh.. CAMERA
Thanks for the tips guys! Wish us FUN... and even if we don't get to the beach he gets a car ride (which he LOVES) and gets to go check out a new place. The Doubletree is awesome.. I would suggest anyone traveling with pets check it out. Really nice hotel and they take dogs up to 90 pounds for 25 bucks. And they have an indoor pool and fitness room.. Lots of amnemities.. Oh and they have high speed internet access in the rooms so I can take my lap top. It's so nice to have a computer in the room when your in a city that your not familiar with. You can look up directions or anything! Sorry guys.. I am rambling this morning!

Don't forget a tennis ball or frisbee! A trip to the beach would not be complete for Magoo without something to fetch =)
Have fun!

Me and my woman took Winston to Va Beach over 4th of July and OMG, he had the time of his life. As soon as we stepped out into the sand, he flipped out. Being he had never seen sand or the ocean before, he immediately went into play mode (head down, ass in the air). I coaxed him down to the water and he chased the water as it pulled from the shore and when he did so a wave got him. I didn't even see it coming. Not to mention i had turned my head at the moment to my woman who was wearing a rather attractive bathing suit if I do say so myself. :) :) Winston collided with a wave and then he ran back ten feet to where i was, sat and looked up at me. Water dripping from his nose. Brought tears to my eyes when I saw him because I could stop laughing at him. HAVE A GREAT TIME!! you wont forget it.
