Thought you would enjoy this-
I was home on Spring Break from school and had left my Mom to babysit Brinks while I visited some friends. Apparently Brinks decided he wanted to check out the new area. He managed to push his way past my mom as she opened the door to get the mail. This could have been disasterous as Brinks is never outside without a leash, but dont worry this story has a happy ending
My mom said she tried everything to get him back in the house. She offered cheese (his favorite treat), brought out his favorite toys, tried opening the car doors (he loves car rides), nothing worked. He would run up to her just out of her reach and then bolt the other way. Finally my mom brought out their dog Tia to the middle of the yard. She sat down and started petting Tia, saying "Oh Tia your so pretty. Your such a good girl Tia. I love you so much Tia." Out of the corner of her eye she saw Brinks staring at her. She kept up the praise and petting. Slowly but surely Brinks started creeping up until finally he came and sat like a good boy in front of my mom waiting for his praise. LOL He couldnt STAND the fact that he wasnt getting the attention. He could handle not having his favorite treat, toys, or missing out on that car ride...but no way could he tolerate someone else getting more lovin' than him.
