I'm very sorry to hear of Creek's passing. You are so fortunate to have been able to share her life for such a long time. Heaven has another angel.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I see that you were able to spend a 13th birthday together. That must have been fantastic. Still, it's never enough time is it? I was having a particularly time last night over losing my Maggie and my friend sent me this poem. I thought I would share it with you.
Godspeed, Creek, Godspeed baby
A PETS PRAYER - THE LAST BATTLE If it should be, that I grow frail and weak, And pain should keep me from my sleep, Then you must do what must be done For this, the last battle, can't be won. You will be sad, I understand. Don't let your grief then stay your hand, For this day, more than the rest, Your love and friendship stand the test. We've had so many happy years What is to come can hold no fears. You'd not want me to suffer, so, When the time comes, please let me go. Take me where my needs they'll tend only, Stay with me to the end, And hold me firm and speak to me, Until my eyes no longer see. I know in time you will see It is a kindness you do to me Although my tail its last has waved From pain and suffering I've been saved. Don't grieve it should be you, Who decides this thing to do, We've been so close, we two, these years Don't let your heart hold any tears. Smile - for we walked together, For a little while.

, adult onset epilepsy, likely IBD,a heart condition suspected to be ARVC or DCM, mammary cancer spread to lower lymph node and high BP controlled by amolodopine. Got her wings 2.20.14 at 6:20 pm after giving us 5 years, 4 months and 17 days of unconditional love

I am so very sorry to hear about Creek's passing. I remember hers, and Caney's, stories from years back when my Diva was youngster. Even though Creek had a long life for a boxer, I know from experience that it doesn't make it any easier. Run free at the Bridge Creek and hugs and kisses to you and your family Zoe

We helped Creek cross over to the Rainbow Bridge this past Thursday. I was home with her that day and I called DH to come home early from work, she wasn't doing well and we knew it was time. We took her to a vet close by us (not our usual one as they were already closed for the day) and as it turned out they had a special room set up just for pets that are passing on, with a couch, dim lighting, and a comfy blanket for Creek to lay on. She went peacefully when it was time, which we are so thankful for. We spent the rest of the evening swapping our favorite Creek-dog stories, remembering all the good times, and shedding a few tears.
Creekers, you were a wonderful dog and companion. Everyone who knew you said you were the best dog they'd ever met, more human than dog. You lived a long, full life and daddy and I are so happy that we got to be a part of it. We miss you so much but we know you are happy once again, swimming in the creek and chasing logs at the bridge.
So sorry for your loss, run free sweet creek xx
