This is the best rescue you could find IMO. You know how it has been raised and the health of the animal. If you have any questions you can call and ask the previous owners! :D It sounds perfect! Don't be afraid just do it!

I personally think that it almost easier to train 2 at the same time. I think they learn off of each other and wear each other out when it's not training time. If you are already going through it with one, why not add another to the mix? I love my pups to no end and love spending time with them but it is nice that they have each other. Being a student and running a household, I need that extra time to get stuff done. When they are home alone, they are company to each other.
If you have the time and resources, go for it! You won't regret it.

We were in a similar situation with Peyton and Ty. Ty was almost a year old when we were told about Peyton, who was 15 months old. I was not completely ready to get another dog and wanted to wait until we found a bigger house with a fenced in yard (we were house hunting) then get Ty a sibling. Well, Dh and Dd decided that we should get Peyton anyways and they went and got her. The first few days were a bit rough, but those two have been inseparable since and really entertain each other. It really is easier with 2 and it hasn't interrupted Ty's training, we just add Peyton to the training. We just bought a house and close on it in 6 days-I really think that they will help each other get used to the new surroundings. I can honestly say that I will never have just one boxer again, two really is better! I say go for it!!

I agree - go for it! We got Mack when Duke was 10 months old (and he was WILD with energy). They've been together five months and it's the best thing we ever did! They run each other ragged!!

My opinion is to go for it. Sometimes things fall into our laps just at the right moments, and this sounds like one of those times. You wanted another boxer, a "rescue," and this one isn't working out where it is at. Sounds good to me!

Tyra took a lot of work and she is a good dog now, she is my "rescue" too. And you all know how the boxers are, until they are about 2 years old, sometimes things just simply just do not "register" as well with those kids!

I can't imagine owning only 1 dog! It's kind of like kids...sometimes MORE are easier. Not to mention what others said about this "rescue" is so true....you won't have to over come hurdles of abuse or the unknown.

Everything happens for a reason. Apparently it is time. Trust me, if we had not come across Flash who badly needed a home, hubby would have never gone for it and we are so happy with the extra four feet, two floppy ears and one excited nubby.
