At night he sleeps in his bed next to ours...

At what age did he start sleeping next to your bed? We are crate training Otto, and we have been putting him in his crate at night. He does fine during the day when he is in the crate but he gets scared in the evening, and the crate is not next to the bed (it wont fit through our bedroom door). DH says we shouldn't let him lay in a bed next to ours cause he will just pee in it. So what age did you start letting your pup sleep next to the bed?

Diesel also sleeps next to our bed and he has ever since the night we brought him home when he was 10 weeks old. He never pee'd in his bed, but I was also very attentive to him waking up in the middle of the night. He is over a year old now and if he sits up at night and shakes his head I will wake up to take him out. Maybe I am the one that is trained in this situation, but at least he doesn't go potty in the bedroom.

.... He is only 12 weeks old, but in his sleep he managed to bully me the whole night!!! Back to his crate tonight!!!! grrrr

They do know a good thing, and will try to manage it for you if you let them. Silly, wonderful dogs!
