Crate Training/ Using Divider

I have a divider in my pup's crate... I think it's the greatest thing ever, ! We'd be buying a new crate practically every week if we didn't have it!

I can't even imagine what problem someone might have with it. I've only seen dividers recommended. My only guess would be the breeder maybe had some sort of freak accident with one, and now advises everyone to steer clear?

In the end this will your pup. All anyone can do is what they think is best. You should listen to what your breeder says she might have a good point, if not smile, and take your baby home.

I also bought a large crate with a divider and I did have 1 issue. My boy was really tiny when we brought him home and he got his nose stuck in between the metal openings while he was playing with it. The good news is that in a week or so he couldnt fit his nose between them.

Any update on why they did not want you to use a crate with a divider?

This happened to Lily too! Ohhh, the screaming, whining and crying until we got her freed. She wedged her nose into the hole to chew on one of the wire frames and couldn't get her teeth wedged back out! Brought back memories of me getting my head stuck in the railing when I was a child.
