Boxer Pal
I've gotten a new boxer female, Spirit, last week. I need to crate train her. She did ok when I went to work the first day or two, but as she's gotten very comfortable (and I mean VERY) with her surroundings, she's liked froliking just a little too much while mommy's away.

I know nothing about crate training. Is it too late? I hope not. The vet told me that where we live, Boxers are the #3 leading stolen dog. She goes outside to play a lot while I'm home, but will be an inside dog. So I really need to figure something out.

Any help would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks

Have you considered a dog run, instead of crating? Might be a solution since your dog has been an outside dog for so long.

Otherwise, there are tons of threads on crating. Try the puppy section ( http://www.boxerworld.com/puppy/ ) and the links on that page about crate training.

ALso use the search engine and your bound to find hundreds of tips on how best to crate train any dog.

Good luck.
