Crate Questions

I've been using the crate now for quite some time for short durations of 1 to 3 or 4 hours at a time, when the weather is too bad for Belle to stay outside. I've got to be away for about 5 hours or so pretty soon. Is this too long for her to be crated? She's 6 years old. I always leave a stuffed Kong inside for her to play with.

at 6 she might be able to stay loose in the house without incident. Either way I would say 5 hrs is not too long. Regardless of the weather I do not leave my dogs unattended outside if I an gone.

She's inside a 6' high fence and inside a tarped 10 X 10 X 6 foot high pen inside the other fence. I forgot to mention that she goes to daycare for socialization almost daily, but I can't take her to daycare on the weekends.
