Crate question

I know young pups cant hold their bladder for long. However, my work schedule just changed and I found out I will have to be out of the house maybe 2 days per week!! I hate the thought of leaving him in his crate all day, should I just gate him off in my kitchen these days or will this ruin the whole point to crate training? I am trying to get a family member to come let him out on these days, but there may be a day or so where he will be alone for 8hrs!!

Would it be possible to board him the few days that you are gone? Or maybe a family member could puppy sit while you are away? I try not to leave our 8 week pup for more than 2 hours, especially if he is in his crate. Good luck!

How about a dog sitter? I know in my area you can get someone to come over for about 1/2 hr for only $10.
