They need to make a baby gate for bigger babies

Funny thing happened today.

And it's related to this post, so I thought i'd reply again LOL..

Well, I come home to my pup (now 9 weeks old this past sunday) greeting me at the front door, odd I might ask since I put the baby gate up and she was in the closed area when I left. So, What do I do? Well, put her back in, walk down stairs, What do you know??? Yep!! shes back down stairs within 1 minutes lol. shes barely 2 months and already climbs, or jumps it (didnt see). So I dont know what were gonna do hehe..

I just want to suggest that you still get her accustomed to being in a crate. You don't have to use it regularly if you don't want, but IMO crate-training is an important skill for any dog to learn (much like basic obedience). If she is ever required to stay overnight at the vet, if something were to happen to you and someone else had to take care of her for a while, etc., most likely she will need to be crated and it will be much less stressful for her - during an already stressful time - to be comfortable staying in a crate.

JulieM,

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking into crate but they are so expensive and I cannot afford to spend that much money on something like that right now. Does anyone know of cheaper priced ones? or somewhere I can look to find a good deal.

Thanks
