I keep my one year old female boxer in a crate while at work. The problem is I have been using towels for her to lay on and now she shreds each and every one of them. I know she is bored. I have an older male that is loose in the house. I am uncertain about any type of chew bones while I am not here to supervise. Any suggestions on crate liners and how do you feel about big bones while not at home to supervise?

I had the same problem. I even got a dog bed for the crate, but she would unzip it and pull out all the guts. (yes, she can unzip anything she wants). I try the bed 4 or 5 times and she always did the same thing. Even if I gave something else to chew. Then I tried the towel. She shredded it. So I gave up and just gave her toys and something to chew. Then I notice that everytime she laid down on or around the couch she would knok over the pillows and lay down on one of them. (my couch has pillows instead of back cushions). So I took one of those and put it in her crate. She loves it! Everytime she is let out she pulls it out and everytime she goes in she will pull it in. So you might want to try finding a sturdy pillow will cotton filling. I would be careful of the filling just in case you furbaby decieded to see what was on the inside.

have you tried leaving a kong in there? if you freeze them, they last longer. my puppy gets through the biggest one in about 2 hours...it definitley helps them not to be bored...also any other favorite toys might help.
