could it be allergy?

I have a six weeks boxer mix and I am a SAHM. Never handled a puppy 24/7 before and it has been going fine.

Until, yesterday I have noticed my hands became more sensitive to the touch an this morning red bumps all over them and it itches all over. I wash my hands everytime after I care for my puppy to prevent any germs but could this be an allergic reaction?

No where else but my hands and I hate it. I can't do much with red itchy bumps on my hands. Took Benadryl and it helped a bit, but i knew when the next dose was needed b/c I started itching again...

Any suggestions?

It could be a reaction to the soap and the fact that you are washing your hands so much more now. Also, in the winter people tend to have dry skin. I would apply lotion after washing and change hand soap first.
