COUGHING at the cold?

So something different happened the other morning and I am needing some advice! It has been cold here lately especially in the morning 20's and 30's! So my two woke up on schedule to go out and potty, it was nice and toasty inside as usual, any way as soon as I opened the door and their noses got a wiff of the ice cold air they both coughed almost as if their airway had closed up on them, in sync! They have not coughed since and I was wondering if this is normal? or if any one elses baby has done this!?! Thanks in advance! Tyson and Ali's mom

Bella does the same thing. I think it is just that first initial cold breath of air after they have been all cozy inside.

Tae does something similar. She will do it multiple times during a walk when it's cold out. When I first adopted her (in January), I was convinced she'd caught a cold, but the vet told me this is normal for a brachycephalic dog (dog with the Boxer head structure).

Owen does this also and his nose will get runny too.

Thanks for the INFO I was a little worried! Gotta love being a new parent!!! EVERYTHING scares me half to death!!!!
